As a parent volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on your child's school community and contribute to the success of students.
Your time and commitment are greatly appreciated, and there are various ways in which you can get involved, from helping in the classroom to organizing events and fundraisers.
By volunteering, you not only support your child's education but also foster a sense of community and collaboration within the school.
Volunteer Guidelines
Compliance Guidelines (English | Spanish) have been created outlining what is required of school and parish employees, school and parish volunteers, priests, deacons, seminarians, and pastoral center employees.
Parent Volunteers must complete the following training programs:
ONLINE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK eApps

Complete an eApps online criminal background check application before being accepted as a volunteer. Applicants cannot begin service until the background check approval has been received.

National background check Re-checks are conducted automatically. Must be done before fingerprinting. A criminal background check will not be processed on anyone under 18yrs old.
VIRTUS/PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN

Attend within 60 days of beginning service. Certificate of attendance kept on site in personnel file.

3-hour training for adults with monthly bulletins required to maintain an active account. No one under 18yrs. of age permitted at training. All participants must pre-register online.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Read and sign prior to beginning service.

DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN & FAMILY SERVICES’ CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLETE TRACKING SYSTEM FORM

Complete form and submit to site prior to beginning service. Copy of complete form kept for St Nicholas of Tolentine School. Original mailed to DCFSs in Springfield by the site.

To be submitted annually. Application review by DCFS for abuse and neglect offenses.
